A study reveals an economic structure for al-Assad’s officers

During his participation in the “Syria Today” program on Syria TV, researcher Muhsen AlMustafa reviewed the main points of his research paper issued by the Omran Center for Strategic Studies, entitled: “Assad’s Officers’ Companies: The Necessity of Disclosure, Accountability, and Redirecting Resources.” AlMustafa discussed the adopted research methodology and the mechanisms for tracing companies linked to regime officers, highlighting the motives behind establishing these entities, their methods of evading sanctions, and the ways state institutions could address them.
